Diachronic Museum of Larisa Guided Tour
In Thessaly, a region whose history and archaeology are admittedly less known to the public, a brand-new museum that presents a diachronic perspective on human achievement from the Old Stone Age to the 19th century AD is a must-see.
In the spacious halls of the Diachronic Museum of Larisa, more than 1,500 exhibits are shown in a manner that is visually compelling, engaging, and educationally rich.
Our tour of the museum will seduce you into a memorable journey through time in the valley and mountains of Thessaly, from its early farming communities, local aristocratic families, powerful women, athletic games, theatrical performances, and gladiators, to the rise of Christianity and Thessaly’s multiculturalism during the Ottoman period.
During our tour the guests are encouraged to participate and ask questions about topics they find particularly interesting.
Tour Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
Our guided tour of the Diachronic Museum of Larisa is available daily except Tuesdays.
